I bought thw aloe cleanser about 2 weeks ago and i broke out on my “t-zone” and cheeks which i rarely do and now a bit on my forehead and chin! Should i keep using? And also if not any suggestions?

  3. dianeuk01 says:

@xxcheer3xx Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that, I still use it every day, it’s supposed to be good for sensitive skin. If you haven’t changed any other products that you use on your face, it might be wise to try something else. I’m thinking of tryin a Facial oil cleanser next not sure, Boots No7 Beautifully balanced & Soft & soothed both were Paula’ Begouns picks from her Don’t Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me book.

@xxcheer3xx When my current bottle from The Body Shop runs out I’m also thinking of getting Purity Organic Skincare Facial Wash 150ML £4.99 exclusive in Superdrugs, I’m not sure if you are in the uk, ingredients Water; Coconut derived foam; Glycerin to promote retention of water; Sweet Almond oil to soften, moisturise and condition the skin membranes and Aloe to soften and moisturise, of which 98% from natural origin 70% organic farming. I hope this helps and your break-out subsides pronto!

Thank you for a great video, about your comments regarding having been a “Clarins girl”, I have also been using department store brands for the longest time but as I age I just find that they are not keeping anything at bay really and I need some extra pushes now in my late 30′s….. Recently found this video, it explains a lot to me, hope it’s helpful to you too! : ) (search with: “Product Formulations Dirty Little Secret Part 1″ in youtube video by kathyspears)

  21. dianeuk01 says:

@TrillianAlice Thanks, I don’t know anything that comes with copper in it, any suggestions?

  22. TrillianAlice says:

@dianeuk01 I used to buy it on the HSN shopping channel. I don’t think they are in the U.K. it was Serious Skin Care by Jennifer Flavin.. I think Neutrogena is carrying a moisturizer with copper. I am not sure if the higher name brands have copper, maybe Clinique. I would try a drugstore first and pick up a moisturizer with copper. That is the only thing my daughter can use. I hope you can find it now. Good Luck

estee lauder resilience lift eye cream since i have found out an even better alternative: paula's choice skin recovery hydrating treatment mask. now i use it twice a day! it really helped concealer application, and help the super dry under eyes to be plumped.

eryderm doesn't have variants of concentration in the place i bought it (jakarta, indonesia). it only came in 1 strength.

clinique total turnaround visible skin renewer didn't advertise their BHA percentage but according to paula begoun it's 1% BHA. funny how it worked super well on me (drying, even, after 2 years of consistent application!) despite its 1% strength.
now i've switched to paula's choice 2% BHA liquid. it's higher concentration means i can use it less often, so it's less drying compared to clinique TTA.
however, i must use silk naturals 2% BHA on nights when i'm not on PC BHA, to help control the acne.

it's not perfect, i still got acne but my skin is not as dry as before. sometimes, on my TOTM days, it even became really oily *sigh* but then after the days passed it turned back into normal/combo again.
