where do you get the african black soap ingredient from?

Im a little confused as to which soap I need. I have sensitive acne prone skin. Oily in the summer and Dry in the winter. Can you let me know which one do I need?

(continue)The rose hips 1 was the 1 I was going 2 get but then I saw this video. I get dry and itchy, but I break out, n I get redness becuz I’m sensitive. I feel like a mess!:) Well if I cud ask you which 1 u wud recommend. Even if I order now, that way I will kno 4 nxt time!:) Thank u!
I would recommend either the mint or lemongrass for you…seriously, you need the extra “moisture” these have :) The only difference would be smell preference…I have customers that swear by both!

@TheSourceSkincare And I just wanted to ask. I have sensitive skin that can be acne-prone but I usually stick to the same products n keep my skin healthy. Lately I’ve been breaking out all around my hairline, jaw line, and edges of the cheeks by my ears. So all around the edge of my face. I ve never experienced anything like it! DO u know if this is common for stress? or product use or anything like that? environmental? thank you!:)

Did anyone notice the INGREDIENTS CHANGED in the Rose Hip Red Bush? It no longer contains SUNFLOWER OIL (non pore clogging oil) and now contains SODIUM HYDROXIDE (skin irritant) according to the company website? I’ve emailed them but just wanted to let those know who may be ordering online to check the ingredients if you may be sensitive or have a skin allergy.
Mint/Lemongrass both contain Potassium Hydroxide which can also be a skin irritant.
I just checked your own website and the ingredients do not include sunflower oil or sodium hydroxide? Is yours another version of the product? Thanks for your time!
I emailed Shea Terra in regards to the discrepancy on the ingredients listed on my bottle and on other supplier websites and received a response that did not answer my question in regards to the ingredients but only that the product is no longer available. It has been replaced with Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Wash & Mask. The ingredients in the new version differ and it does contain Potassium Hydroxide, so those looking for this product may be out of luck in the future =(
Potassium Hydroxide has always been in the product. This is the company’s response to my inquiry regarding the change in formula: “The cleanser is the same only it has some new herbs and rose hips oil. The wash has always had potassium hydroxide in it.” Also, read my blog if you want info about the hazardous levels of potassium hydroxide and how soap is made – always with an alkali such as potassium or sodium hydroxide!

I don’t see what the big deal is about potassium hydroxide– it’s just what makes this a soap; without it, it would just be a mix of oils and shea–not a cleanser! It’s still an all natural product.
I ordered a week ago from Shea Terra and my order just shipped and is still on its way :-/ slow shipping. May order from you next time instead! :) Still, very excited to try it.

I’m from the UK but I can’t find anywhere that can ship this product here without it costing me a lot of money. So, I was wondering if it was available anywhere in England? It would be really great if you could help me.
Also, I’m 14 years old and I don’t have really bad skin but it does get a little dry on my forehead, and therefore gets quite flaky and spotty. I know you said that it is really good for any type of person however, I don’t know if my skin is mature enough for it?

@themslissia I would go with lemongrass….but if you’re super dry, you’d be better off with D’vine Fume Blanc or our Green Tea & Olive Oil Cream Cleanser……
@TheSourceSkincare It should also be noted that this is a facial cleanser that has African Black Soap as an INGREDIENT. For those seeking AUTHENTIC AFRICAN BLACK SOAP (ALATA-SAMINA/DUDU-OSUN), this product is NOT it.

I wanna try this stuff, I love all natural products, I think that’s definitely the way to go when it comes to not only skin care but overall health. Right now I dnt use any cleanser on my face for the reason that I’m so scared to put stuff on my face, and I know we need to cleanse so I’m trying to find something safe, I have normal to oily skin, so is it okay to use this for my face..
