My Summer Skin Care Routine

READ ME!! Makeup i’m wearing in this video: www.youtube.com I have an oily skin type that is not too sensitive. Products that work on me may not work on everyone. For example, the bio oil was not moisturizing enough for me in the winter but I still have oily to oily/combination skin in the fall/winter. Many factors can account for acne, dull skin, etc. such as hormones, your diet, sleep habits, weather conditions, your skin type, your skin regimen, use of products that may not agree with your skin. Overdrying the skin will stimulate your oil glands and can further make you break out. DO moisturize! It’s just a matter of finding the right one for your skin type. Personally for myself less is more. Try to not use any face washes that make your skin feel too tight and dry but if you do make sure to moisturize your skin really well! It is pretty much a balancing act to maintain your skin’s moisture. If you are wondering why my skin is glowing? Let’s get more personal now. Usually before my period starts up until about the third to fourth day of my period, my skin is clearer and brighter. I still do get spots but somehow my complexion just looks better. While this was filmed this was on the second day of my period. After my period ends, I find that this is when I start getting a few more spots here and there. Last but not least, I do NOT have flawless or perfect skin. There are times where my skin will look better due to hormones but overall I have enlarged and clogged pores

  12. PrettyLoather says:

@Ktqtpie16 yes, bio-oil is mostly mineral oil. You should try olive or coconut oil.

Thank you for sharing your routine! If I may, another product that may work as well as bio-oil and that is 100% natural is Monoï oil or you could also use sweet almond oil (don’t know if the term is correct, as I translated it litteraly). I personnally use monoï oil or a baby oil (after using it, I have baby skin lol) or a cream.

I love your makeup, by the way :P

Your eye makeup is super pretty <3 But wait, St. Ives is supposed to be really bad for your skin. -___-

What toner would you guys recommend? I’m using Proactiv but I’m running out of the toner! What could I use instead?

  16. Shoppingstar525 says:

@cloudswirls I’m taking chemistry next year but I would have never known this that specifically even if I already did take chem. Lol. Good job! So would bio oil help with dark spots? Like whenever I get a pimple and I pop it right away (I never do that anymore) or after it goes away, it leaves a dark brown mark where it was. I can never seem to find anything that makes them fade completely weather it be cleansers, moisturizers, etc. Would this work? How much is it and where can it be found?

  17. Shoppingstar525 says:

@Ktqtpie16 where can you even buy bio oil? Like in a drugstore, department store, what? Please answer!

  18. youlovemeli93 says:

@Shoppingstar525 hey, i just bought it at target!!

  19. Shoppingstar525 says:

@youlovemeli93 Are you serious, it’s available in a drugstore? That’s awesome, thank you so much for replying and so quick!!! :D So did it work for you? What was you’re problem? How much was it? Did you get the same size bottle as she did in the video? Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to make sure before going to buy it…

  20. Ktqtpie16 says:

@Shoppingstar525 yeah at drugstores i believe but it contains alot of mineral in it

have you ever tried the estee lauder serums Xteener? I just recently got the idea of wanting to take care of my skin and thought that maybe if you pay a little bit more for the product then maybe you can get results from it. Well,, I bought the advanced night repair serum and it worked very well! Just recently I also bought the idealist pore minimizing serum and together with my night one they work really well with the whole complexion and acne scars. but really xpensive!
