    Me too! It is so nourishing. Thanks for your comment

    would you reccomend using pure shea butter on acne-prone facial skin? i worry it might clog pores.

  4. montyedmond says:

    Yes I agree. It is likely to block your pores. Shea butter is very rich and so not ideal for acne-prone skin. You are better to stick with gels or lotions rather than products that contain butters or waxes.

  5. raniafry says:

    okay, thanks! is there any moisturizing and healing gel or lotion you might recommend for acne prone skin? also, I purchased a liquid black soap (dr. woods’) and was wondering if you had an opinion on the quality of liquid ones compared to solids.
    thanks very much for your informative videos!

  6. vitaleorganic says:

    Hi Raniafry, I am not sure about the liquid black soap however if it is based on pure black soap then it should be fine. If you are based in the US I recommend Live Live Be Yummy Skin Food. If you are in Australia then Third Stone Botanicals Cederwood Moisture Gel. Either are great.

    I have scars on my arm from an OCD act, when i was young, in which i keep peeling my scars (grows I know) Will shea butter take them away?

  10. tlife35 says:

    when you whip shea butter, it will not feel as heavy or greasy.

    I would love to know if I could use shea butter *as a sunscreen* on top of my salicylic acid acne treatment (its an Aveeno product which is also daily moisturizer) I have very oily skin, so I am trying to fight acne with salicyclic AND protect my skin from the sun with shea butter. I like shea butter, but I can’t tell if the shea butter is making the Aveeno acne cream less effective. I don’t know if the pimples pop up because of shea butter or what. Anyone having this experience? Anyone know?

    I just want to say I love your videos!!!!!! You are so professional and know so much, it’s very refreshing after searching through tons of you tube videos! I tried shea butter a few weeks ago by Kariderm, and used it on my face. I have combination skin and it did moisturize so well, but I ended up breaking out :( I am waiting for my Clarisonic Mia to arrive (an electric facial brush) so maybe if I use that to clear my pores and then try the Shea butter again it will have better results!

    I may also try the Live Live Bee Yummy moisturizer if I can find it here in Canada!

    @raggedy6
    Thanks for your lovely comments. It may be that pure shea butter is too strong so you could mix it with lighter oils such as jojoba or even aloe vera so it is not so rich on your skin.

    I can’t be sure that it will if they are old scars. It may help them to fade but I think it is unlikely to take them away completely.

    i use shea butter and i absolutely love it. but it is not easily absorbed into my skin. so u have any trick to make it more absorbent? thnks .
    p.s i mix it with coconot oil and jojoba oil

  17. vitaleorganic says:

    @ivorybabe92
    Yes mixing it with a lighter oil is the best way to make it absorb more easily. Jojoba or Sweet Almond are lighter than coconut so may be better choices but if coconut works for you, then keep doing what you are doing!

    I bought a whole load of Mary Kay products for my uneven complexion and oily skin and it turned my skin dry and didn’t clear my skin. I purchased shea butter for my hair and used a bit on my face and by the next morning, my skin was glowing, supple and I could see a visible difference in my complexion. In a few days, I should have a face as smooth as a baby’s bottom!
